It’s time to step down

It was time to step down into the river yet there was no evidence of any change or reprieve from the raging waters. Have you ever thought of what it might have been like for those priest guys who carried the Ark of the Covenant down into the Jordan River? As they approached the river, which was at flood stage, what must have gone through their minds? “This had better work! We don’t have any other option but to obey, yet we are gonna get really wet and possibly lose the Ark and our lives if it doesn’t.” Of course, we know what happens next but think of the drama!
The faith journey is just like that! Our time to depart for Spain and International Media Ministries is at hand. After months of preparation, prayer and sharing our vision, our time to step down into the river has come. Each day is like a step closer to the raging banks of a budget deficit threatening to sweep us away. And yet as we step down we are finding the waters are beginning to recede! Just the other night an unexpected call came from some friends who let us know they would be starting to support our mission next month. Others of you have increased your commitment and others have sent in extra gifts. We are overwhelmed by the generosity and words of encouragement as we busy our days with packing, moving and visa applications. Thank you for joining us on this journey.

Prayer Issues:

• Please pray for our Spanish resident visas to come through quickly and without any difficulty.
• Please pray for our transition into a new culture and leadership position.
• Please pray that God would bless all those who sacrifice so much for us to carry out our mission.
