Time to Say Good-bye

As we go into our last week here in Oregon before we leave for Spain, I find myself feeling so grateful for the many friends we have made over the last 8 months of itineration and the renewed connections we have been able to establish with many of you longstanding team members.

We will be in the Oregon Ministries Network “Summit” meeting on Monday through Wednesday and it will be our last chance to see so many of our pastor friends who have stood with us through this journey of 20 years. Now, a new challenge awaits us on the horizon and we are excited! We don’t know what the next few years will look like for us and our learning curve will be steep but we sense a gentle calm knowing you are standing with us. Thanks for your friendship, your prayers and your support. The next email you get from us will be from our new ministry assignment in Madrid, Spain! Que Dios le Bendiga!

PS: Family News Flash! Dan, our youngest, is now engaged to be married to a wonderful young lady, Kayla Blair of Seattle, WA. The couple is looking seriously at August 15, 2009 as a wedding date! So it looks like we will have a busy summer for sure!

I wish you the best in this journey. You are in my prayers. I’m sure the Lord will bless the lives of many people around the world through your ministry. May His will be done in your lives. Felicitaciones a los futuros esposos!
